Prior to this short tour, Tieghan and I purged our apartment of almost all of our furniture. We didn’t want to pay for a storage unit and my parent’s garage could only fit so many of our things. So, we decided that we would just buy new furniture when the time came…well that time has come. We recently received orders to NC and we couldn’t be more thrilled! With a little one on the way we wanted to stay budget friendly and also keeping in mind that babies are messy. New furniture + a new baby=hot mess. While on the hunt for furniture that I could refurbish or buy at a bargain, I came across these chairs.
My parent’s new restaurant, which is located inside of a hotel, had a bunch of these old chairs in storage that the hotel wanted to toss. So, my mom decided to take them home. I had recently bought a faux leather couch on the side of the road for $20 and thought with a little TLC a few of the chairs would go perfect in the living room! I had no experience reupholstering chairs, so thank heavens for my mother! The chairs turned out beautifully and I couldn’t be happier. I wanted to share with you guys how they turned out. Disclaimer: I obviously only featured one out of two of the chairs…but there are two.
Fabric-Hobby Lobby ($7.99 per yard)
Decorative Tacks- WalMart ($15)
*with the chairs & paint being free it cost me about $30 to make these chairs*
